Horizon 2020 is the EU’s flagship initiative aimed at securing Europe’s global competitiveness. It is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020). It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts, by taking great ideas from the lab to the market.
The opportunities are enormous, but the challenges to obtain H2020 funding can be daunting. Even experienced researchers sometimes find the changes in Horizon 2020, compared to previous programmes, confusing. In particular, as crucial elements such as SME participation and call structure have undergone a major overhaul.
biolution has already successfully started its first Horizon 2020 project, EUthyroid, which was positively evaluated in the first call. We are therefore in the process of collecting first hand experience in the substantially overhauled implementation of research projects within H2020. If you are interested in capitalising on this experience and benefiting from the enormous opportunities Horizon 2020 offers, you should get in touch. We are happy to work with researchers of international visibility to realise their ambitions on the European level.
